If you are have Owner or Steward permissions for a data source, you are able to add or edit metadata for a data source, table, or column.
You can add basic system metadata during the creation of the data source. However, for custom fields, this metadata must be added in the catalog. To do this, navigate to the data source details page through the catalog section.
To edit a specific field, hover over it in the data source details page and click. The metadata then becomes editable. Ensure you click the green tick icon to confirm any changes.
To edit metadata at a table or column level, navigate to that table or column details page and hover over the metadata that you want to edit. The metadata then becomes editable. Ensure you click the green tick icon to confirm any changes.
