User Management

The User Management view of Contiamo allows you to manage Project Users, Project Groups, and Service Accounts within an individual project.

Users

Users lists Organization Users that belong to a Project.

The Users view lists:

  • Name

  • Email

  • Created At (timestamp)

  • Project Admin (y/n)

  • Groups (the user belong to)

Manage Project Users

To add a new project user, go to Organization > Projects > [Project] > User Management> Users > Add User.

To remove a project user, go to Organization > Projects > [Project] > User Management> Users > right-click on the [User] Actions menu > Delete.

Manage Project Admins

To add a new project admin, go to Organization > Projects > [Project] > User Management> Users > right-click on the [User] Actions menu > Add Admin.

To remove a project admin, go to Organization > Projects > [Project] > User Management> Users > right-click on the [User] Actions menu > Remove Admin.

Groups

Groups are used to organize Project Users.

The Groups view lists:

  • Name

  • Members (count)

  • Created At (timestamp)

  • Updated At (timestamp)

Managing Groups

To create a group, go to Organization > Projects > [Project] > User Management> Groups > Create Group.

To add a group member, go to Organization > Projects > [Project] > User Management> Groups > right-click on the [Group] Actions menu > Manage Members > Add User.

To remove a group, go to Organization > Projects > [Project] > User Management> Groups > right-click on the [Group] Actions menu > Rename.

Service Accounts

Service Accounts are used to provide machine access to endpoints, i.e. to allow enterprise applications to consume data made available by endpoints.

The Service Accounts view lists:

  • Name

  • Created At (timestamp)

  • Created By (user name)

  • Token generated at (timestamp)

Managing Service Accounts

To create a service account, go to Organization > Projects > [Project] > User Management> Service Accounts > Create Service Account. Adding a service account will generate an access token. You will only be shown this token once.

To regenerate an access token for a service account, go to Organization > Projects > [Project] > User Management> Service Accounts > right-click on the [Service Account] Actions menu > Regenerate token.

To rename a service account, go to Organization > Projects > [Project] > User Management> Service Accounts > right-click on the [Service Account] Actions menu > Rename.

To delete a service account, go to Organization > Projects > [Project] > User Management> Service Accounts > right-click on the [Service Account] Actions menu > Delete.
